PS 87’s Annual International Dinner Dance
Bring your family and friends! Friday, September 20 is PS 87’s Annual International Dinner Dance! The event starts with a potluck dinner in the cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. followed by fun dancing and music led by the Culture & Community Committee. Please bring a dish that represents your culture. Those families who are too busy to cook, we understand, and encourage you to bring something yum to add to the potluck. You can have food delivered to the school via Seamless or bring chips & dip, dessert, anything big or small. The more food, the merrier!!! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to help with set up and/or cleanup. We look forward to seeing you all at this festive event!

Come Join the Band (CJtB)
There is still time to register for Come Join the Band (CJtB), the Innovative music program where students learn instruments collaboratively with the help of professional musicians. CJtB performs at PS 87’s Rock Night as well as at venues in NYC. The band practices at the renown recording studio, Smash Studios, in midtown. A CJtB teacher picks up students directly from PS 87 and escorts them to a chartered van for transportation to and from the studio for a nominal fee.
If the cost of the program is a burden to a family, they will work with the family and supplement the tuition. Find out more information at www.comejointheband.com, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxY9Z8TZLkw&authuser=0
