Auction Team

The Auction Chair / Co-Chairs organizes, plans and manages all aspects of the annual Auction, a key source of PA funding.

Family Giving Chair

Family Giving is an annual on-going pledge drive that, together with Auction, accounts for approximately 80% of PA funds raised. The goal for Family Giving is 100% family participation. To that end, Family Giving runs various marketing campaigns throughout the school year, including a Backpack News drop, monthly broadscale and targeted email campaigns during the year, and two annual contest on Giving Tuesday (for a class Pizza Party) and at year end (for a class popsicle party), both aimed at boosting school-wide participation in Family Giving. In addition to monthly email and other marketing efforts, the role of Family Giving Co-Chair consists of tracking donations and sending select donation thank you letters.

Backpack News Team

We need 1-2 people to help collate content, liaise with various committees, edit and add material to BPN.

Green Team

Co-chairs needed for next year. We always need volunteers to help with recycling in the Cafeteria during breakfast and lunch.

Treasury Team

The Treasury team needs an additional assistant treasurer who will stay on for the 2020-2021 school year. An accounting or finance background is great, but certainly not a necessity. We meet regularly to approve requests, sign checks and  make bank deposits. We present a monthly financial report at the board and general PA meetings. You would have an opportunity to sit down with the school administration about four times a year to discuss and plan the allocation of funds. We also work with the PA at large to create an annual budget.

School Leadership Team

“The School Leadership Team (SLT) is a collaborative team of parents and teachers and the Principal that is mandated by state law to play a significant role as an advisory panel in representing the school community. The SLT helps create structures for school-based decision-making, develops school-based educational policies and ensures that resources are aligned to implement those policies. The SLT writes and reviews the school’s Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP). Parents are elected in the spring for two-year terms on a staggered basis but meetings are open to the entire school community. We need 4 parent members to join for a two-year term. SLT meets once a month during the school year.”
