PS87 Kindness Challenge
PS 87's Four Tenets are: be kind, be wise, be honest and be brave. These are the values or house rules for every member of the PS 87 community. This month, we'll focus on encouraging kindness in different ways at school and at home, as part of an ongoing initiative to practice the Four Tenets throughout the year. See below for ideas and activities happening this week and next.
Ask your child how they can be kind. Send us their ideas, and we'll display them at school and share them in Backpack News.
Print out the attached PDF and use it as a checklist. Thursday, February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day!
Help surprise our teachers and staff with a Valentine's Day sweets and treats table. Monday, February 14th Sign up to help or Donate if you want to participate but can't make it to the store yourself -- We'll do the shopping for you.
Volunteer to decorate our lobby on Friday, February 11th. Email to reserve your spot.
Join your fellow parents for coffee after drop-off on Wednesday, February 16th in front of the school on 78th Street.
